I met up with Amy and Dan for their engagement shoot. While initially nervous, Dan and Amy really started to relax into the shoot, particularly when Amy and I stumbled across some rather gorgeous little shops with beautiful items inside them – we had to remember this was a shoot, not a shopping expedition!

Dan and Amy are lovely with each other – they have a true chemistry, an almost tangible love between them and I just can’t wait to capture their wedding in a couple of weeks at Ston Easton Park.

So sorry for the lack of regular blog posts – I have been shooting and editing continuously – engagement shoots, weddings and newborns… My 1st May Resolution is to blog more often!

So, abiding by that resolution, next up is Dan and Amy’s Engagement shoot! Closely to be followed by Abbe and Paul’s wedding..

{News} – Exciting news

I’m delighted to announce that Melanie East Photography and babyME Photography® will very shortly be moving to a brand new high street studio right in the centre of the beautiful village of Chew Magna, near Bristol. In 2011 Chew Magna was voted “The Best Village in Britain”, in a Sunday Times survey carried out by Savills, and is the main hub of the Chew Valley.

The new studio will have a fantastic reception area, a gallery of beautiful imagery, and a lovely consultation area. I’ll have a great new large shooting room with a variety of wonderful backdrops and flooring, a changing room with baby change facilities – together with complete privacy for nursing mothers, a bathroom, and a fantastic viewing area where you can view your images on your return visit.

I’m having a great time choosing flooring and furnishings, colours and designing exactly how I want it all to look and just can’t wait to share it all with you!

There is no gap in providing a photographic service, since I am able to work out of my existing studio right up until I move into the new one.

I had a great time with Lucy and Ben, catching up with them for coffee and hearing about their wedding plans. I just can’t wait to shoot their wedding in a couple of months at Coombe Lodge. We carried out their engagement session, and these guys were really good in front of the camera!

I’ve been very busy photographing lots of newborns! – go and see the babyME® blog right here ! In the meantime, I shot a wonderful wedding at Coombe Lodge last month but the bride and groom have requested I do not blog this for personal reasons. While I’d love to show what an amazing day they had, I truly respect their right to privacy. All I can say is, I had a beautiful bride and a lovely groom, happy guests, and a wonderful atmosphere. Result? – Beautiful images!

Next up on this blog will be Lucy and Ben’s couples shoot with me! Be sure to check back soon!

{Wedding Fair} : Ston Easton Park

I shall next be exhibiting at the Ston Easton Park wedding fair on Sunday 11th March. Do come along and view a range of great suppliers and have an inspired day out – you’ll gain some great ideas for your own wedding day! There is a goodie bag and champagne for each bride and it promises to be a great day!

It was great to see Jessica again, and this time she brought her new little brother Max with her – aged just 1! I first photographed Jessica when she was a teeny baby, and again when she was three when I needed a little girl to model some ballet wear for me, so it was lovely to photograph her again and, of course, to get to photograph Max, who was just *so* cute!

Difficult to choose which images to blog, so I’ll choose one of my favourites of each ..
